On weekends we’ll be resting and savoring the deliciousness of our discretionary time.
Here is a quotation to ponder.
“If you would stop analyzing everything and just look for things to appreciate; in other words, if you could just decide to play that game, look for things to appreciate, you would live happily ever after.” — Wisdom of Abraham http://www.abraham-hicks.com

I know the quote says stop analyzing everything, but it also twice uses the word appreciate. So I wonder if anybody knows the origin of the word “appreciate”. I find it interesting, so I though this might be of interest to others here too.
“Appreciate” stems from late 16th century Latin (which in fact is probably quite different to that which the Romans spoke) from “ad” (meaning “to”) and “pretium” (meaning “price”). So, we have “to + price”.
This is further rendered to: “set at a price” and hence the modern derivative “recognize the value or significance of” or “to be grateful for”.
Have a wonderful Sunday
Andrew
Its like opening this bottle of joy…the top comes off, worries disappear…and you KNOW you can step up onto this beautiful cloud of being… happy, free, for all the world to see….YOU CAN DO IT! The trick is to open this bottle even in the darkest night. ThenTHEN is when I can sing to millions! I appreciate this spark of life that powers me! I appreciate Abraham and the Rampage of Appreciation! I appreciate Elyse! I appreciate my friend Bonnie! I appreciate EVERYONE on this experiment, you guys rock!

That’s great . I really appreciate everything happening in my life right now. Thanks Adrew for the meaning of appreciation.
Thank you Andrew. I really appreciate every one around me right at this very moment. It’s so easy to take everything for granted until something happens. I appreciate everything in my life today!
Thanks, Andrew. And thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment. I read them all every day and am always uplifted and inspired. I have been letting “life” get in the way of gratitude this weekend. I can’t believe it! It’s so easy to get off track! Ugh! Thanks to all of you who are on track and for sharing that in these postings.
Learning to stop ‘analyzing’ is huge for me - this message really hit home. Thanks Tangolora for thanking everyone for leaving commments- I feel the same way- really makes me feel I’m part of a community as I read these messages and ‘get to know’ you.
I am enjoying using the quote It is a challenge to remember using it. However it is worth the effect and I have noticed many good things emerging….
Appreciation to Andrew for the information on the word appreciate. With goodness to all.
I really resonate with this quotation, I’ve been doing it for a little while, and you know what? I just realize how wonderful my life is and I encourage everyone to appreciate all beautiful gifts of life and then more blessings will appear. Thank you all, lot’s of love
